Education

I am currently studying a Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Degree Apprenticeship, with Datum Datacentres.

This course is designed to provide me with the knowledge and skills needed to work in the digital technology industry, including network engineering, cyber security, and data analysis.

The apprenticeship combines academic study with practical work experience, allowing me to apply what I learn in real-world situations and gain valuable hands-on experience in the field.

I studied a T Level in Digital Production, Design and Development, where I learnt how to design, build, and test digital systems and software, especially websites. The course has helped me develop skills in programming, data handling, and understanding how computer systems and networks work.

I also learnt about topics such as cyber security, digital ethics, and how technology is used in business. In my second year, I focused on full stack website development.

As part of the qualification, I completed a 45-day industry placement with Datum Datacentres as a Junior Data Centre Technician to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment and see how I was able to apply what I've learned in real-world situations.

This course helped me build a strong foundation in coding, problem-solving, and digital design, along with full stack web dev, and has prepared me for a future career in website development, networking, or other areas of computing.

During this course, I was nominated form representative. This role required me to attend meetings, gather feedback from classmates, and communicate any concerns to staff.

These courses have helped develop a range of my skills such as ethical hacking, threat intelligence and hunting, and IT skills such as basic networking and Data Centre Fundamentals.
